no I went to a physical therapist and got x ray which came back fine. She said my ligaments were stretched allowing my shoulder to pop out. They said I must get a MRI which I can’t afford until I get health insurance. The Phys. Ther. said I can lift weights as long as my shoulder isn’t popping out which it hasn’t fully in about 6 months.

had u gone to an orthopedist for a proper diagnosis? if not i would strongly suggest it cause ignoring it could cause more harm to the shoulder.

    chupalambestaki,

    chupalambestaki,

I disagree. This technique has been extensively tested in the clinic and by researchers.

The hard part is in stabilizing the scapula – not in getting more range of motion.

Do the exercise exactly as the video demonstrates. Try to follow along with the audio instructions.

    Tim

  14. chupalambestaki Says:

    One must lie down …
One must lie down closer to the edge so as to allow a greater range of motion in the eccentric contraction.

bench pressing 100kg is significantly simpler than doing this with 3.5 kg

    Your experience is …
Your experience is typical, but not normal.

    You have rotator cuff weakness.

It will progress, perhaps 5 or 10 years to a frank tear and eventual surgery.

    Get it surpass now.

Strengthen the rotator cuff until you can do the exercise as described.

Rotator cuff surgery is painful and no fun.

two years and you have not sought help? what are you that cheap that you’d rather take advice on youtube where people know nothing? my friend, care a small about yourself and go see an especialist. your general MD knows crap about this.

  19. haishalehaish Says:

    no you don’t know …
no you don’t know if you need surgery. U must try to rehab conservatively first because once surgery occurs, that’s it. It is irreversible. Your body is likely to heal if you rehab correctly, that’s why he suggested it.

    Dear Tim,

After watching this video I tried while lying in side lying position to do it, without tender my scapula, just concentrating on the rotators, and it was so hard to do it properly. I got mad, that it was so hard.

After struggling for a while and being able to one full rep (properl) could not hold it very long, but my neck and shoulder immediately felt more balanced. ITs so tough to do it right tho, but the corrupt is fantastic.

    Thanks for the video!

    Dear Setfree2day,

    Dear Setfree2day,

Tell your therapist that you are frightened and that you need an superfluous gentle approach.

Question them to avoid ‘end range movements’.

    Tim

  23. setfree2day Says:

    I know I need …
I know I need surgery.. but my Dr wants me to go to shoulder therepy. I’m frightened as because I’m frightened they will accidently pop out my shoulder (It is very easly done). My Dr says if shoulder therepy doesn’t work then they will concinder surgery. WHY CANT THEY JUST BELIEVE ME????

  24. haveblue007 Says:

    If the discomfort …
If the discomfort is locatecd within the shoulder joint you may well have rotator cuff hurt or possibly calcium deposits or bone spurs. I have had 2 rotator cuff surgeries after being symtamatic for 20 years with shoulder discomfort. If you neglect getting surgery in a timely manner you cause more hurt, making the surgery more all-encompassing thus causing a much longer recuperation period. Whatever you do, see an orthopedic who specializes in shoulders and SHOULDERS ONLY.
